With its land acquisition policy acclaimed outside the state, Haryana has attracted investment commitments worth Rs 1 lakh crore, Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda said today.
With just about 1.6 per cent geographical area of the country and 1.9 per cent of its population, Haryana has been able to implement investment worth Rs 53,000 crore in the last six years.
"Another Rs one lakh crore investment is in the pipeline," the Chief Minister said addressing an Assocham meeting here.
According to an Assocham report, the state achieved 81 per cent implementation rate of the pledged investment, ahead of Gujarat, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu.
Hooda said recognising the role of power as the engine of economic growth, projects of 10,000 MW capacity are under way. (PTI)
